# Security

> Organization-wide security settings, including required multi-factor authentication.

Security settings apply to your whole [organization](https://docs.nekt.com/organizations.md) and are managed in **Organization settings → Security**. Owners and Admins can change them.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Security settings are available on **Growth or Custom plans**.

## Required multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second step to sign-in, on top of the password. You can require it for everyone in your organization from a single toggle.

**1. Open Security settings**

Go to **Organization settings → Security**.

**2. Enable required MFA**

Under **Multi-factor authentication**, click **Enable** next to **Required multi-factor authentication**.

Once enabled, every member of the organization must set up MFA to keep using Nekt, and the setting shows the date it was turned on. To turn it off, click **Disable** in the same place.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If a member loses access to their authenticator, an Owner or Admin can reset their MFA from **Organization settings → Members** (the member's row menu → **Reset MFA**). The member sets it up again on their next sign-in.
