We have proprietary connectors for Looker Studio and Power BI. The other tools should be configured using the Amazon Athena connector. Please refer to each specific tool’s documentation for more details.
Generating the visualization token
Let’s start by generating the visualization token:- Go to Visualizations and click the + Add Visualization button.
- Select the BI tool you want to connect (e.g. Looker Studio).
- Select the input tables you want to plug into the BI tool.
- Copy the generated token, as you’ll need it to authenticate the connection in the BI tool.
Connecting to the BI tool
Now, let’s connect your data to Looker Studio.- Use this link to find the Nekt connector in Looker Studio (the next ones, the Nekt connector will be available in the Data sources menu under Partner connectors).
- Insert your visualization token and click Next.
- Select the table you want to connect and click Next.
- Define a date range column if you want to filter the data by a specific date range.
- Define the row limit if you want to limit the number of rows returned (use -1 to return all rows).
- Click Connect and wait for the data to be loaded.
Great job! You’ve gone through the process of setting up an entire data pipeline 🚀🚀 Now you’re ready to explore further and work on more advanced use cases.
