An organization represents your company in Nekt. It holds the people on your team, your plan and billing, and the settings that apply across everything you build. Every organization contains one or more workspaces: isolated data environments, each with its own cloud, Catalog, and access. A small team often runs everything in a single workspace, while larger teams use separate workspaces to isolate environments or business units.
The organization owns what your whole team shares; each workspace owns its own data and the access to it. For how workspaces work, see Workspaces.

What lives in your organization

Members

The people on your team and their organization roles.

Billing

Your plan, payment method, invoices, and workspace allowance.

GitHub

A GitHub connection shared by every workspace for versioning.

Security

Organization-wide controls such as required multi-factor authentication.

Referrals

Your referral link and the credits it earns.

Organization roles

Everyone on your team has an organization role, managed in Organization settings → Members.
  • Owner — everything an Admin can do, plus billing and organization settings. Admin on every workspace.
  • Admin — Admin on every workspace. Can invite people and create workspaces.
  • Member — sees only the workspaces they are added to, with a workspace role in each.
Organization Owners and Admins are Admins on every workspace automatically. See Members for the full role model, and Invite team members for the invite flow.

Plans and workspaces

Billing is managed once for the whole organization, and your plan includes a number of workspaces at no extra cost. The Free plan and the trial include a single workspace; to add more, upgrade your plan or contact us. See Billing.

Switching organizations

Use the organization switcher to move between the organizations you belong to. It shows each organization’s logo and name. Inside an organization, the organization home lists the workspaces you can access and lets Owners and Admins create new ones.
